Hi,

I was trying to extend TX range of my TH-F7, but all available mods
have failed. The only change that was noticed was that VFO A had RX
and TX locked to amateur bands...

Currently my TH-F7 has no D702, D703, D704 or R701, all are "open".

On back of my TH-F7 I can read:

"made in Singapore"
"KN309"
something Japanese here and - "JARD"
"50300061"

(there are some more things yet but I guess they are not "non standard"

I wish I could unlock TX range in it, any clue?

On my modified TH-F7E (euopean model) only D703 is present.

Thanks Robert, but I also tried this mod.
Japanese version seem to have another firmware or even CPU.

Anyone have other ideas?

I think the best way to extend the TX range is to add a better antenna or?a j-pole.?
